A man, believed to be about 45 years old was found dead in his car early this morning along Armstrong Avenue in the La Lucia Ridge area.
KZN VIP Medics were immediately dispatched after reports of a shooting was fielded by the KZN VIP Control Center.
Paramedics and Response Officers found the man in a high end luxury vehicle, riddled with bullet holes. It is believed that the driver rammed though the gate of a businesses premises, and came to rest in the yard.
Efforts to resuscitate the man was futile and he was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
The scene was handed over to the South African Police Services for investigations.
KwaZulu-Natal: At 08H13 Tuesday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a shooting at a business premises on Armstrong Avenue in La Lucia, Durban.
Reports indicate that an adult male had been shot multiple times in what was alleged to be a hit.
Medics found the vehicle had come to rest against a pillar, riddled with bullet holes.
He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and sadly showed no signs of life and was declared deceased on the scene by Emer-G-Med.
Circumstances leading up to the incident will be investigated by the Durban North SAPS who were on scene.
