If you thought that we had escaped the bad weather, you would be severely wrong. A weather warning has been issued for today. In this article I will tell you which areas will be affected and how you can properly prepare for it.
Weather Warning :
Starting today (22 October 2021) parts of South Africa can expect bad weather. Satellite images have observed a cold front entering the coastal area and it's expected to make landfall soon. With it will come cold weather, heavy rain and thunderstorms. Gale force wind is Also expected to hit parts of South Africa. The areas below will be the most severely affected by this weather.
The Cold front is expected to hit Cape Town and affect areas close to Cape Town so if you are in those areas, please start preparing now. I tell you how in the next paragraph. However even if you are not in the Cape Town area you can still expect to be hit by at least some cold weather. Though not as severely as where the Cold front will directly hit.
How to prepare :
The first thing you need to do is get home as soon as possible. It's not safe to be on the Roads during this weather so if you are going to be driving than please be extra cautious. Prepare meals for your family early and have some candles ready. Even though it's not a guarantee, sometimes the bad weather can affect our electricity connection.
Most importantly keep warm, the weather can make you vulnerable to flus and colds so staying in a blanket of thick jacket is essential. Hopefully the weather clears up soon. What do you think of these observations, tell me in the comments and follow for more news as it happens.
