
An extremely disturbing incident occurred earlier today and it has left many people in shock, it is very sad how lives are being lost on a daily basis through accidents and to even see that no measures are being taken to reduce them. Sixteen people have been confirmed dead in a 10 vehicle pile-up accident on the N3 southbound between Peter Brown and Chatterton Road off-ramps in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday.




It is alleged that the Sixteen people who died succumbed to the fire which was a result of the crash, the paramedics were dispatched to the scene and they found the occupants of the minibus deceased. The minibus was on its way to Harding from Johannesburg when it got involved in this deadly accident. The motor vehicles that were involved were two trucks, a bakkie, a car, minibus and four other vehicles. Fortunately the occupants of other vehicles survived the crash but their state has not been mentioned yet.
