DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: MURDER AND INQUEST INVESTIGATED BY STANDERTON POLICE
On 2 October, the Standerton Police received a complaint about a shooting incident in Florapark. According to a statement by W/O Nathi Khanyile, Spokesperson of the Standerton Police, two bodies were found in different rooms. According to information, a 48-year-old father shot and killed his 21-year-old son during a domestic violence incident.
Thereafter the father turned the gun on himself and died instantly the statement read. A case of murder and an Inquest docket are investigated. The Standerton Police Station Commander condemned such incidents and requested members of the community who find themselves in such situations to contact social services for help.
Kasselman Security Services, Standerton Police, Jeria Ambulance Services, and Standerton EMS attended to the scene. Police did not discover the reason behind the murder, they are currently investigating the case but sadly both the son and father died.
