The SAPS National Intervention Unit have managed to secure the successful arrest of a 29 year old male suspect who is linked to multiple business robberies and a hijacking, the suspect is currently detained in jail awaiting his court appearance.
According to the saps news report, yesterday, Thursday, 18 August 2022 the South African Police Service (SAPS) members received information about the whereabouts of a suspect who is responsible for multiple crimes, officers followed up on this information and went to conduct a raid at a house in Forest Heights Kleinvlei (Western Cape Province).
The raid resulted in a recovery of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, a 29 year old male suspect was immediately placed under arrest, he is also linked to business robberies in Philippi and Diep River and a hijacking in Somerset West.
The suspect will soon make an appearance at Blue Downs Magistrate's Court to face charges for hijacking, business robbery, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
