19 persons hurt in a 13-vehicle pileup in the N2 collision in KZN.

Emergency workers arrived on the site shortly and discovered that 19 victims had minor to severe injuries. Before sending the victims to the hospital for additional care, paramedics treated the patients on the spot.

One person was killed and numerous others were hurt in a truck accident that included multiple vehicles on the N3 at the Peter Brown interchange in Pietermaritzburg on Friday night, according to KwaZulu Private Ambulance.


A chemical-laden vehicle lost control and slammed through the barrier for incoming traffic. Chemicals spilled onto the freeway, resulting in heavy delays and gridlock in the N3's southbound lane.


On the northbound N3 road, between the medium and fast lanes, paramedics also discovered a little car. Uncertainty remained over the accident's cause.
