A group of girls surprised a male student who sneaked into their hostel in the early hours of the day. The incident happened at Komothai girls secondary school at around 4 am on Thursday, October 21.
Newsmen have it that the form four student and five others, sneaked out and went to a girls hostel for an unknown motive and upon arrival at Phoeb House, some girls saw them and raised alarm. This attracted the attention of everyone in the school who rushed to the place to know what was happening.

However, Kenya's Directorate of Criminal Investigations in a statement reported that four boys escaped back to their school while one was beaten and sustained serious injuries.
The statement read;
“On sensing danger, five of the boys managed to trace their way back to their school while the deceased was cornered by the angry students and staff. Sadly, they descended on him causing him life-threatening injuries. The boy later succumbed to his injuries at Kigumo level IV hospital."
When detectives visited the scene of the incident, they recovered planks of wood used on the male student that caused serious injuries to him.
