Cyril Ramaphosa delivered eulogy at the funeral of ex-Joburg mayor Mpho Moerane, check the pictures

It was a sad Sunday for the people of Gauteng as they were paying their last respect the former mayor of Joburg, who passed away last week due to the car accident that he was involved in, he was rushed to Milpark Hospital where he lost his life on Wednesday.

But the sadness never ended as the people of the city gathered at Kwabikilanga sports ground in Alexandra where Cyril Ramaphosa delivered the eulogy, at the funeral of Moerane who has done an amazing job to the people of this city after losing the municipality to the Democratic Alliance.

Ramaphosa describes Moerane as a leader that puts people first and a man of integrity who was willing to serve, the people of Joburg during the tough times that the Covid19 pandemic has left in the country, where many businesses are still trying to recover from that situation.

He was also trying the reconcile the members of the Anc in the region back together after losing two mayors in the following years, and this has broken the hearts of many people in this city which is something that anyone will never imagine will happen in this town.

It looks like the party has to do something about this because it's a huge loss for them while they are trying to win the municipality back, after losing it in the 2021 local elections and in 2020 Jeff Makhuba lost his life after winning the municipality back coom the DA and his death affected the party a lot.
