TV personality Lasizwe Dambuza took to Twitter to share sad news. In his tweet, he shared pictures with the caption "I am so broken". The YouTuber was broken because his father Menzi Mcunu's shell garage in Dobsinvile was broken into and looted of everything. They took almost everything inside, including some of the fridges and the flat screens. In a video shared by Lasizwe, the shop shelves and the fridges were all empty. According to sources, the garage hasn't been working for about 2 months if not more, the sources were shocked to see that it still had everything inside. The reason why the garage was not operating is still unclear.
YouTuber Lasizwe is the half-brother of TV personality Khanyi Mbau, they both share the same father Menzi Mcunu. Menzi Mcunu was a businessman who owned several businesses he died after a short illness. After his death, the shell garage was neglected and criminals saw a chance to loot everything.
Khanyi Mbau is still in Dubai with Zimbabwean boyfriend and businessman Kudzai Mushonga. She is reunited with her boyfriend after leaving him in strange circumstances last month. She hasn't said anything on her social media accounts it's understandable she is too busy, her boyfriend is constantly showing her with luxurious gifts.
The current crime rate in South Africa is high and this is a result of unemployment. The Covid-19 situation has made everything worse many more people lost their jobs because of the Pandemic. The government is doing its bit to try and minimize the effect of the pandemic. They implemented a grant for all unemployed citizens. But for some, the R350 is not enough. Especially for those that live in cities, it's not enough to pay for the rent and other necessities. If the unemployment rate continues to increase there will be more similar cases across the country. Not long ago the country went on a rampage and looted all megastores across the cities. This can be linked to unemployment.
