A man wrote a painful letter after killing his girlfriend then hung himself with a rope in his shack

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) officers and medics were called for assistance by community members in Ezimangweni, Mawothi (KwaZulu-Natal Province), deceased bodies of a 26 year old male and his 29 year old girlfriend were found inside their wood and iron home.

According to the Reaction Unit South Africa news report, yesterday, Saturday, 25 June 2022 Reaction Unit South Africa officers and medics arrived at house in Ezimangweni, Mawothi (KwaZulu-Natal Province) and found a large crowd gathered around the house, medics entered the house and found a 26 year old man hanging from a rope tied to a rafter.

A 29 year old female was found lying on the floor with multiple stab wounds on her chest and neck, a letter written in isiZulu was also found nearby the deceased bodies.

The letter allegedly written by the man explained, "the deceased female was his girlfriend and the mother of his child, She had ended their relationship however he was unable to move on".

"He decided to ask her to meet her at his home yesterday afternoon, when she arrived at his house, he murdered her before taking his own life".

Their child was not present at the time of the incident.
