A South African lady is still in shock, recovering from a trauma that she was almost sold to Nigerian human Traffickers without her knowledge or consent. The lady took to her Twitter handle to narrate the bitter and ugly experience, and surprisingly, many South African ladies have experienced almost the same thing. The lady recall, “Yhooo guys some women can be something else guys yhooo. Yhooo I'm still in shock. This lady tried to sell me to some Nigerian men. News café' Woodmead". People are desperate for money, to the extent of selling their friends into human trafficking without the consent of those ladies. Many people are urging her to report this incident to the police and have her arrested immediately for trying to endanger the life of another person by selling her into human trafficking business, which is against the laws of South Africa and international organizations for the eradication of human trafficking.

She narrated that the lady who almost sold her even told the Nigerians that she imported the girl from Cape Town. She further disclosed, “I pushed her aside and walked out of the bathroom. As I'm walking back to our table all these Nigerian men are making those nasty shifty compliments, gal is right behind me and I hear telling them I'm an import from Cape Town hayini bethuna. I find my partner". Another Lady narrated a similar incident where her friend, too, almost sold her, and she managed to get away. The other lady narrated, “Met this girl from Acadia, invited her for lunch after she asked us to go propaganda only to find out girl she's a pros, time to go home, girl already organised 2 guys, they said to me, we already booked you with your friend and have negotiated amount for the whole night, I drove back home and blocked her”.

Strange things are happening in South Africa and indeed the world at large. Incidents of human trafficking is ever rising and despite the efforts by many international organizations and non government organizations, people are still rooted in human trafficking. Every day, thousands of young women go missing, and some of them are not usually found. Some of these missing persons,, especially ladies have been traced to activities of human traffickers. A man lamented that these human traffickers must be dealt with decisively to serve as a deterrent to others.
