In almost all african marriages, the women are deemed responsible for the household chores automatically. Girls are even groomed from a young age how to do chores and maintain a home. It is rare to see a husband doing some chores and if he does most people would say the wife has bewitched him or he is weak. Therefore, there is no place for women to hide other than doing the chores and if one does not do them they are labelled lazy and an incompetent wife. However, this lady on Twitter shared a photo of herself showing of her long nails and asked if she would be allowed do to do chores if she was a wife in this state.

Most men were saying they will allow her to do chores because it is a must and her primary assignment once she is married.
