My wife has actually given me a hall pass twice in our relationship. Once before we were married when she told me to go ahead and go away with my girlfriend on vacation.

This was early in our relationship, the trip was planned before we were together and this girlfriend broke up with me on the trip home. This was actually a perfect end to that relationship.

The second time was 20 months ago when she was frustrated at having to tell me no all the time when I wanted sex with her (due to chronic pain and fear that sex would make it worse).

Her stipulations were she didn't want to know anything about it and I dare not bring home any diseases.

I thought about it for a day or so, talked to a swinger friend of mine about how to get involved again (I was into that lifestyle in the late 90s and I figured things had changed in the age of the Internet).

He answered a bunch of questions but I just couldn't see how I was going to get involved with that lifestyle again.

I ended up begging her to take it back because I knew how badly me going out on her would make her feel. We healed our relationship and I got her to try medical marijuana for pain and it helped.
