The bible states in Proverbs chapter 18 verse 22: “He who finds a wife gets what is good and receives favor from the LORD.”
This is what has typically happened to Steven Tikubuwana, a 27-year-old guy. After months of dating his "long-time girlfriend," Steve and his darling bae, Zaituni Nkanda, are now planning the "mother of all weddings" for early next year, God willing.
According to Sunday Vision, a Ugandan tabloid, the two are currently living together in Kyungu, Mukono town, in his designated wife's single-room residence.
Tikubuwana told Sunday Vision that he met his sweetheart in 2014 after losing his job as a shamba boy, and she accepted him into her home.
“My relatives and friends are not thrilled with my relationship,” he added, “but that does not affect me at all.”
If he marries the septuagenarian, he will be embarking on his second marriage following the failure of his first.
Steve claims that, unlike his first wife, Zaituni is compassionate, affectionate, and faithful.
The young man claims he has not yet informed his parents of the news, but hopes to invite them to his new house before the wedding.
Zaituni, who is now overjoyed to have a partner by her side, revealed that she had been single since 1993, when she divorced her last husband.
“Being able to find a husband is a miracle,” she remarked.
