A list of vernacular paper messages that are trending on social media
Mzansi social media is something else, one person posts something the next it is a trend. A new trend of handwritten short messages on a piece of paper is making rounds on the internet. These handwritten messages slap harder than computer typed ones. People are expressing their feelings about everything you can think of. However, Umjolo (relationship) is number one.
The person who started the trend is not known.
These messages reminded me of the small laminated glass pictures our parents used to hang around in our homes. The difference is that those ones used to be serious messages and sometimes they would be Bible verses, though, these latest ones are more sarcastic and funny at the same time.
Here are some of the pictures to feast your eyes.
