Living in abject isolation and calm is a way of life that many people, especially introverts, enjoy. Funny enough, many people are of the opinion that living a life without friends is one of the surest ways to live a problem free life and a stress free and problem free life. Well, that may be true to some extent, but not in all cases.
Psychological studies have revealed the dangers or possible problems that a person might encounter when they choose to be alone or go isolated. Here are a few of them.
1. Your problems are only your problems.
One of the beauties and perks of having close friends and associates is the likelihood that your personal issues and challenges will be shared and resolved. The reason behind this is that there is a greater chance for your friends and neighbors to help you cope with your financial problems, health issues, and other needs. But a person without friends or people around will likely bear the burden of their problems and face their challenges on their own.
2. It can be like depression.
Loneliness can sometimes lead to depression. This can be adjusted to the fact that when a person is emotionally disabled and needs some kind of emotional stimulation and encouragement from people and cannot find it, they can become depressed and start to using hard drugs.
3. You will lack moral and emotional support and encouragement.
Quite similar to the previous point, a person who has no friends or people around is prone to emotional trauma and despondency. Having people around you in times of difficulty or challenges can help reduce the impact of challenges, in a similar vein; not having friends or people around to encourage and motivate you in your difficult times and times can lead to a more damaging course like grief.
4. People may take questions about you without seriousness.
Studies have shown that most people tend to care about sociable people and care about the affairs of others. In other words, a person who pays attention to the welfare of others, is fired with the same gesture. Living in solitude and refusing to take an interest in other people's affairs is a way of life that could be mutual for you.
