Mzansi reacts to a man that proposed to his girlfriend with a chicken: “Romance is in the air”

A picture of a man proposing to his girlfriend with a chicken has left Mzansi in stitches. Is this even a thing? Looking at the picture, the gentleman was kneeling with his right knee and tried to hide the chicken behind his back. One thing we can wonder about was the chicken. Did it make noise? However, the man had it covered as he used both of his hands. Meanwhile, his partner had her right hand ready to put on the engagement chicken. Also, her left hand was on her mouth, as she was shocked that her partner decided to pop the question on a pathway in their community. “Romance is in the air,” said Mpho_k (@maduma_k) on Twitter, as she shared the picture of the beautiful couple trying to take their relationship to the stage.

At the same time, this could have been starters as the initial engagement ring was on the way. As we know that a ring is needed whenever a person is getting engaged. Or better yet, when a person is proposing to his partner. Times change, hence, the man decided to be unique and use a chicken to propose to his partner. There’s nothing wrong with it, as long as both partners are happy in their relationship. Another tweep on Twitter felt that the whole proposal was incredible since it’s the thought that counts. After all, not everyone will get married or even have an opportunity to wear an engagement ring. “It’s the thought that counts akere bazalwane,”

Meanwhile, a certain tweep felt that it’s an investment and the lady should be proud of having a man that thinks ahead. As she can start her poultry farm since her partner has got her one chicken already and the rest will come from her. “This is an investment gift,” said The Hirohito (@theHirohito) on Twitter.
