Husband and wife relationship

The marriage materials for African men (OPINION)

What is wifey material? The definition of a wife material is a woman who loves even the worst in you and is fine with your weaknesses. Yes, you have made blunders but have regretted.

As the name might suggest, the phrase “wifey material” is used to describe women who have the qualities of a good wife. ... While everyone's preferred qualities in a wife will be slightly different, what ultimately makes a woman wifey material is being a partner and raising a family. Trust, honesty, love, smoking body, great with kids and my friends, likes to travel, and more like this are on my list with qualities that make her wifey material.

The term “wifey” is a fad used to describe what a “real woman” is, you know, one that cooks, cleans, and provides for her husband, making sure he's always happy. A “wifey” is expected to do all of these things while maintaining her appearance, never looking sloppy, and never complaining.

How do you know a wife material when you see one? And what are the characteristics of a wife material?

It is obvious that nobody wants to make mistakes in marriage, and no one likes to get married today and be separated the next moment.

The first thing one needs to establish is the difference between the side chick and the main chick levels in a relationship. What kind of a woman qualifies to be called a main chick by her partner? It’s a tricky one, especially because in today’s world, you are lucky if you are even in any relationship. I mean, one minute you could be with your man thinking, ‘oh, he is the best’ and the next minute he’s posting somebody else’s pic on his Facebook page.

The difference between the two levels is an intimate relationship. The main chick usually has the 'IT' factor, whatever 'IT' means to you. ... The side chick is all about having fun and going out; all she cares about is the fancy gifts and luxury trips – she doesn't even ask you about your day at work.
