12 Ways To Love Yourself More

Although it may appear simpler at times to love other people than it is to love oneself, the ability to accept oneself is essential to the development of meaningful relationships with other people. To love yourself means to acknowledge your own self-worth and to conduct your life in the most truthful manner you are capable of. You, too, can learn to love yourself if you just put in a little bit of effort and have a little bit of patience.

1. Always remind yourself and others that you love them by writing the words "I Love You" on every mirror in your home. Every time you look in the mirror, you will also look at those words, and you will start to identify them with who you are.

2. Give Yourself a Gift - Treat yourself by spending some of your paycheck on activities just for you. Pursue the goals you've always had for yourself, or at the very least, make progress in that direction.

3. Take Yourself Out on Dates. This is especially important if no one else is interested in coming along. Have supper by yourself, see a movie by yourself, or organize a picnic in the park for just you and yourself.

4. Accept Yourself - Every day, devote at least five minutes to loving yourself in spite of your flaws. Make advantage of the following strategy in this regard: Say something about yourself that you find particularly offensive, and then follow it up with the statement, "And I adore that about myself." This immediately gets you to a place of acceptance.

5. Remind Yourself That You Attempted It Once a week, take a look back at your life and tell yourself that everything you've been through has prepared you for the future. Every choice you make was made with the intention of making your life better. It's possible that things haven't always gone your way, but you may take pride in the fact that you gave it your all, given the circumstances. This means that every version of you up until this point has been striving for a better existence. Remembering how much you already love yourself can be an act of respect that honors your previous versions of yourself.

6. Find Reasons to Be Proud - At the end of the day, come up with three things that you can look back on and feel proud of having accomplished or grateful for having received as a result of something you did or something you were responsible for. You can either recite these aloud or write them down in a journal. Make sure you go back over this as often as you can.

7. Take some sexy pictures of yourself and use them as the wallpaper on your computer and phone.

8. Give Yourself Compliments It is required that you give yourself at least one compliment per day, whether it be about your appearance, your personality, or both.

9. Make an extra effort. Before you finish anything, whether it's a project, a workout, or even a trip to the grocery store, ask yourself if that is the best you can do. If the answer is no, then you should make an extra effort. If this is not the case, then you should go back inside it and push.

10. Bring Yourself Joy Start a list of the things in your life that make you happy. You should revise the list whenever anything new comes up or whenever an item on the list stops bringing you joy. Start by thinking about the things that used to make you happy, and then try to incorporate as many of those activities as you can into each day.

11. Do What Is Necessary - You are the only one who can determine whether or not you are doing enough to achieve each of your goals and dreams, or whether or not you are avoiding the things that are necessary. Create a real list of things that have to get done, and then try to check off as many items as you can. Look at the things that, if you gave yourself enough time, would unquestionably bring you closer to achieving your objective.

12. Do More for Yourself - For each of your objectives, establish at least one routine that you can follow on a daily basis, and then work toward achieving that routine. Now is the time to accept responsibility for your own life.
