Most Stylish Zulu Traditional Wedding Attire For Women, See Photos

Wedding clothes from the Zulu culture is the same as traditional Zulu clothes. The Isidwaba and Isicwaya of the typical Zulu bride aren't always created from leather; instead, other materials are used to create them. Instead of wearing a skirt and a shirt, some brides choose to wear a Zulu dress with a traditional headpiece.

To commemorate their union, the bride and groom both make a pearl bracelet resembling the other's style. Zulu Traditional Attire suggests that beaded necklaces can be a symbol of love. Most brides have decided to use bright colors for the cape, skirt, and hat so far in their wedding attire.

Another great style for the bride's headpiece is the Inkehli hat, which is a colorful version of the beaded Imvakazi veil. At least three costumes can be worn in a single day by a Zulu woman wearing traditional clothing. Zulu brides traditionally wear a leather skirt known as the Isidwaba, a skin-covered Isicwaya to conceal her boobs, and a bonnet for her head known as the Inkehli.

Bridal party members join in on the fun by donning matching multicolored beaded neck- and wrist-accessories. Legs and arms of the bride are covered with red and white ocher patterns. To keep her rhythmic while dancing, women of the time used beaded and twisted-fig-leaf veils, as well as ankle-high pebble bags connected to their feet. Zulu traditional clothing includes a goat's hair neck fringe and a little knife known as an Assegai, which represents a woman's virginity.

Women's Zulu traditional dress combines purity and beauty. A girl who wears this style of design feels special because of the imaginative and unusual colors used. If short skirts are your thing, there are plenty of African Zulu traditional costume for ladies to choose from that are appropriate for any event while also keeping up with current fashion. Many of this year's ideas were influenced by African fashion, which is a brand from outside the country.
