South Africa has a host of different races and cultures, so it's not uncommon to see them clash now and than in racist situations. Regardless of this there are a lot of people who don't support racism and are against it. Recently an indian girl on Facebook made her opinion of it known by talking about why she loves black men. However, is she right.
Her post :
Below I will go through her post part by part, however even though the post was public, for privacy reasons I will not be showing her face or giving her name.
The girl starts by explaining that she just got back with her boyfriend, regardless of what her parents or family thought. It didn't matter to her that he was black, what mattered was the love.
She claims that a lot of people ask why she not dating an "inside guy", I believe that this is a typo and that she really meant to say "Indian guy"
Anyway her reason is that according to her black men are more loyal and trustworthy because of their culture.
She than apologized to the people who didn't want to talk to her again, but also clearly stated that they need to let go of their prejudices and love each other.
My Opinion :
Personally I both agree and disagree with her. I agree in the fact that people should let go of their hate for each other and instead spread love, as it will help us to get rid of racism.
However I don't think what she says about black man being more loyal and trustworthy because of their culture is true. The reality of the situation is that their are good and bad people in all cultures and that we shouldn't define people based on their culture.
