We’ve all been there before. You know, the guy who seems to be everything you’ve ever wanted and more, sweeps you off your feet, tells you everything you want to hear, makes you melt inside.
You fall for him only to find out a couple months later, he was a fraud and has pulled back, stopped calling, texting and slowly becomes absent.
This is a list of three things to help you navigate how to avoid finding yourself in that heart break again.
1. Watch his actions before believing his words.
2. His charm may feel good but good character feels better.
3. Don't be in a rush, physical advances and commitment can wait.
You are worth the best. But the best takes time. No, you are not too old, you are not running out of time, you are at the right place and the right time right now. Stay present with yourself.
Lastly, I commend a girl who doesn’t have trust issues. But if you are too far on the other side of the pendulum you can end up betraying yourself. Completely and unintentionally too.
We have to remember to take good care of ourselves as women first. I often refer to this as “honoring yourself”. In honoring ourselves, we must take the time required to watch and observe a mans behavior, patterns and follow through before diving all in and giving every piece of us away.
Allow yourself to be Loved by God, people and most of all yourself. You are worth it.
I hope this helps you on your journey!
