11 125 new cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours

South African woke up to a shocking newspaper print by the Spanish people. We are still far from being accepted as the black people by those Europeans. They are now making it look like the Omicron variant come from South Africa when we know for a fact that it was discovered outside of Africa before the South African scientists detected it and announced to the world.

It seems like the best time we get any kind of information that can ruin the reputation of the country we should really think twice about making huge announcement. We must just accepts that the world would never accepts us no matter how hard we try.

We know that the driver of the new cases in the country is the Omicron variant and this has led to the country being in a fourth wave. In the last 24 hours the number of new cases that have been recorded is 11 125 and this is a significant drop from what we saw in the last reporting circle. The number of death recorded in the last 24 hour is just 1 death taking the total death toll to 89 966.

We know that the premier of KwaZulu-Natal Sihle Zikalala has declared that the province has now entered the fourth wave of the pandemic. The province has recorded 687 new cases in the last 24 hours. As for Gauteng province which is the epicenter, it has dropped as now the numbers as sitting at 7 929 in the last 24 hours. The Western Cape has recorded 807 new cases. The number of active cases are now sitting at 83 584. The positivity rate is at 23.8%.

The total tests that have been conducted in the country is 19 761 834 and the test in the last 24 hours is 46 708
