Christians, Identify Your Office In The Church And Operate Therein

Apostle Paul informs us that he does not want us to be ignorant of the truth about our calling as Christians and vineyard workers. Hosea 4:6 further highlights the peril of ignorance:

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..."

In other words, lies enslave people! A person who is attentive in his or her business will stand before kings, according to Proverbs 22:29. In what line of work are you? Academically, professionally, spiritually, and in all other areas, the fellow must be vigilant in whatever is entrusted to him.

“Do whatever thy hand finds to do with thy might; for there is no labor, nor invention, nor knowledge, nor wisdom in the grave to which thou goest.” 9:10 Ecclesiastes

The preceding Scripture highlights the need of diligence.

Let us consider some ideas worth learning in light of today's reading: One, Christians may be unaware of some realities about spiritual talents. Two, the body of Christ has various gifts, and every believer should have at least one of them. Three, it is the Holy Spirit who bestows gifts on each believer according to His will. Four, there are disparities in terms of administration and labor division. As a result, believers should be wary of engaging in too many activities in the Church on their own, as this may be counterproductive. Five, despite operations differ from believer to believer, all real Christians are led by the same God, who acts by His Holy Spirit. Sixth, for the edification of the entire Body of Christ, the Holy Spirit assigns various tasks to certain believers.

As a result, we can see that believers are not given gifts for the sake of having them. As a result, we arrive at the seventh lesson: there are no talents that are greater or inferior to others. As a result, Apostle Paul went on to admonish us against using spiritual gifts in a discriminatory manner (1 Corinthians 15:17).

As a result, beloved, let us work together as many members of one indivisible Body of Christ, with each of us doing our share as the Lord has enabled us. In the name of Jesus, we will not be denied our reward.
