OPINION- Don't Allow Yourself To Be Fooled, Do Not Backslide, Be Strong In The Lord

In order to bring people into God's Kingdom, all Christians are rescued and given the commission to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ across the world. Everything a Christian needs to accomplish this work has already been provided for them by God. According to Scripture, God never assigns a task to His children unless He first provides them with all they need to do it. The Holy Spirit was given to the disciples before they were sent out to preach the gospel in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and all of creation. God's people are prepared by the Holy Spirit to serve in his vineyard. According to Luke 24:49, the Holy Spirit's importance is highlighted:

For now, stay put in Jerusalem until I bestow authority from on high upon you, for I send the promise of my Father upon you. Because of the critical role He plays in ministry, the disciples were instructed to remain in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit had fully empowered them.

Those who are called to serve in a spiritual capacity by God are doing so for a specific reason in His plan of redemption for mankind. Isa 61:1:1 states that

the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to people who are in need; he has sent me to mend the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom to the imprisoned, and to free those who are enslaved;"

Hope, healing, and vitality can be found in the presence of the Holy Spirit for individuals who are despairing and spiritually dead. According to Acts 10:38, the anointing of the Holy Spirit empowered Jesus to do whatever he pleased. In order to carry out similar and even larger deeds, we must be empowered by the Holy Spirit (John 14:12). Do you have what it takes to serve?
