The presence of a Christian in certain places not only speaks volumes about the faith of that Christian, as to whether or not that Christian has been truly born again, but it also does not bring glory to God, unless the purpose of going to such places is to preach the gospel with a motive to win a soul, and this must be directed by the Holy Spirit, as previously stated.
Despite the fact that every Christian has been called to freedom in Christ, Galatians 5:23 (Contemporary English Version) cautions them not to allow their freedom to become an opportunity to do whatever they want, which means they should not act according to their flesh (sinful desires), and this is why every child of God needs to be aware of the places that God approves of and the ones that he or she is not permitted to visit, and Romans 12:2 admonished us not to conform to
Listed below are four sites that every Christian should avoid visiting.
1. Christians should refrain from visiting a gambling establishment. Many people go to the gambling hall to make money with the expectation of having their money doubled or tripled through betting, and it is the love of money that drives them to such a place, but 1 Timothy 6:10 states that the love of money is the root of all evil, which means that as God's children, we should not allow the love of money to fill our hearts or drive us to gamble with our money in order to double or triple it because, as stated in the Bible passage above, the love of money is the root.
2. Christians should abstain from visiting the bar. However, while the Holy Bible does not expressly forbid drinking, it does warn people against going to a bar and drinking wine or a strong drink that contains alcohol. It also states that people who get drunk at a bar and experiment with different kinds of mixed wine are those who have woes, sorrows, strife, and complaints (Proverbs 23:29-30). As a result, as God's children, we are instructed not to use alcohol, which could lead to reckless behavior, but rather to be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:24, Christians Standard Bible).
3. Christians should refrain from frequenting nightclubs. A friend of the world, according to 1John 2:15 and James 4:4, is someone who does not have the Father's love in him, and by becoming friends with the world, we become enemies of God. Traveling to Night Clubs, where many young men and women congregate to play and engage in activities that are contrary to God's will, should be avoided at all costs, because Colossians 3:17 instructs us that whatever we do, whether in word or deed, should be done to the glory of God, and that we should have no affection for worldly things.
