Has the Lord left us to suffer?

From the old testament, through to the new testament, we get to understand who Lord God is. We get to be schooled and informed of his hatred for sin and how he used to destroy and consume all those who found themselves guilty of sin.

Exodus 33:1-16, we get the story of Moses on top of Mount Sinai and the children of Israel sinning against the Lord by commanding Aaron to make them a god they will worship because Moses had disappeared and was no longer coming back. Aaron commanded them to take off all their gold ornaments and made a calf for them which they declared as God.

In exchange, God told Moses to take his people, whom he had taken out of Egypt and go away because if the Lord was to walk with them he was going to consume them.

The Lord hates sin so much that during the times of Justice, He would kill sinners and all those who disobeyed him instantly. As he did with Sodom and Gomorrah and Lot’s wife. What was happening in Sodom and Gomorrah and what Lot’s wife did are nothing compared to what is happening in the world today.

Men are marrying men and having sexual relations with them. Women are doing the same thing. Kids are disobedient to parents and lawlessness has become a reality. The just are judged by the world and looked down upon as fools. Lawlessness has become the order of the day.

It will be amazing to know that God is tolerating us today and all the sin that we live in. If the Lord God could turn his back on the his only begotten son because he saw the sins of the world on him. Then there's no way he could still be with us today.

Judging by everything that is happening around us today. How lawlessness is running rampant and getting rewards. It the conclusion I make that the Lord’s presence has departed from our midst.
