Is Drinking Alcohol A Sin? 3 Things Pastor Adeboye Mentioned That Christians Should Take Note Of

The drinking of alcoholic beverages has long been a difficult issue in the Christian community. Is it OK for Christians to use alcoholic beverages? Is it considered to be a sin? What does the Bible say regarding the usage of alcoholic beverages? Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), gave some important clarifications about alcohol on the 11th of October, 2021, during Open Heavens.

Pastor Adeboye emphasized three important points about alcohol drinking that Christians should take care of:

1 - The drinking of alcoholic beverages creates an environment conducive to the appearance of several forms of crimes, including immorality, aggression, evil imagination, and others. This arises as a result of devils possessing and controlling the lives of Christians, among other things.

2 - In order to support his message, Pastor Enoch Adeboye cited a biblical passage. Prophecy 23:31 says, "Do not look upon the wine when it is red; do not look upon it when it gives his color in the cup; do not regard it when it moves itself properly."

3 - Alcohol sets in motion the Demon of Sorrow and Sexual Immorality, which is then released. He supported his claim with a quotation from Proverbs 23:22.

In conclusion, according to the man of God, alcohol opens the door for devils to express themselves in a person's life, and as a result, all believers should abstain from consuming it.
