PRAYER: Lord Please Help Me To Bring Souls Into The Heavenly Kingdom.

"Behold, I am ready to come to you for the third time; and I will not be a burden to you: for I seek not yours, but yours: for children should not lay up for parents, but parents for children." 2 Corinthians 12:14 (KJV)

It's a pity that many pastors these days are more concerned in what these souls have in their possession than in the souls themselves. Jesus says, "Feed my sheep," not "Get fed off my sheep." We can all benefit from the example of the Apostle Paul. He was a man who was eager to give and receive for the sake of the flock. When they didn't seem to reciprocate his affections for them, he loved them much more. As a pastor, department head, or leader in any capacity, you must evaluate your motivations on a regular basis. Are you more concerned with what others own or with their souls' well-being? When you are more concerned with what individuals have, you will find yourself excusing one person's misconduct because he is affluent while condemning the same behavior when committed by someone who is poor. You'd find yourself just visiting the Church's wealthy members, or your department/unit, as the case may be, and barely checking on the less fortunate. Yes, the Church needs cash to carry out its work, but are we to look to humans for support rather than God? The apostle James warns against preferential treatment in the house of God in James 2:2-4:

"For if a man with a gold ring and goodly raiment enters your assembly, and a poor man in vile raiment enters as well; 3 and you have respect for the man in gay raiment, and say to him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and have become judges of evil thoughts?"

God sent us to bring souls into His kingdom, not to bring money. Don't put off the most important duty until last.

This charge applies to all Christians, not just pastors and church leaders. Make a point of bringing God's word to the forefront of whatever setting or gathering in which you find yourself. God expects you to feed His sheep and return the wandering ones.
