When a child of God is faced with a difficult situation, all he or she needs to do is pray to the Lord. A huge storm sprang up while Jesus was on a ship with His disciples, and the disciples were terrified. "And his disciples came to him, and roused him, saying, Lord, help us: we perish," (Matthew 8:25)
The benefit of turning to God in times of hardship is that He is always ready to help. “And he saith unto them, Why are ye afraid, O ye of little faith?” says the Bible. Then he stood up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and all was calm.” (Matthew 8:26, NIV)
Even in the face of the Lord, some Christians pretend that everything is well, despite the fact that they may be dealing with major spiritual, health, material, and even financial concerns. The disciples, on the other hand, called out to the Lord for assistance, telling Him just how they felt about the storm. In response to their cries, Jesus Christ calmed the storm. In Jesus' name, I hope that as you cry out to the Lord today, He would not only hear you, but also respond. In Jesus' name, the storm in your life will miraculously subside today.
We may observe what one must do when he or she requires a miracle in today's Bible reading. Hannah needed a miracle, but she had been travelling to Shiloh year after year until that magical year when she understood she needed to do something she had never done before: intense and heartfelt prayer! I rejoice when I witness how some of my youngsters pray during the Camp's various programs because the tempo of their prayers indicates that they are in desperate need of miracles.
God has promised that he will never abandon his children, therefore anytime you encounter a problem, call on Him and He will respond. According to Psalm 46:1: "God is our refuge and strength, a constant source of comfort in times of difficulty."
When I watch my children-in-the-Lord praying desperately, I am always eager to connect my faith with theirs. In Jesus' name, I pray that as you cry out to God today, your miracle will come sooner than you think.
