PRAYER: Lord, I want to experience triumphs without breaking a sweat as a result of your involvement

Children of God must recognize their God as the Lord who is great in warfare if they are to live a full life worthy of their election. The story of the three Hebrew boys is a famous example of what God can accomplish for His children who recognize Him (Daniel 3). They addressed their time's emperor, Nebuchadnezzar, with their belief in the superiority of their God's sovereignty over human affairs. The narrative of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego has a lesson for us to learn, which the Lord spelled out for us in Luke 17:33, saying:

“Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.”

It's worth noting that it was only after King Nebuchadnezzar threatened to burn the three Hebrew lads that they announced that they were not afraid of dying for what they believed in. What an incredible statement of faith:

“If such is the case, our God, whom we adore, is capable of rescuing us from the blazing fiery furnace, and he will do so, O king.” (Daniel 3:17)

To make such a bold declaration, you must actually know God. It's no surprise that Daniel 11:32 says:

“And he will corrupt by flatteries those who do evil against the covenant; but those who know their God will be strong and do exploits.”

Do you see your God as a helpless child or a powerful warrior? Because they recognized Him as the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel was more than capable of delivering the three Hebrew lads. He is an expert in all types of combat throughout all realms. On the ground, He fought the Amalekites for the children of Israel (Exodus 17:8-16). He fought for the Israelites against the Egyptians in the middle of the sea (Exodus 14:13-30). He battled for Joshua and the Israelites in the skies against the army of the five kings that had gathered against them (Joshua 10:1-20). The Psalmist referred to God as the Lord mighty in warfare because of His grandeur (Psalm 24:8). What is the war you are facing, Beloved? You'd be prudent to seek God Almighty's help in fighting for you. He is a formidable warrior who has never lost a battle. In Jesus' Name, he will be your sure ally, and you will triumph. Surrender your life to Him and hand over your life's fights to Him, and you'll start to experience triumphs without breaking a sweat as a result of His involvement.
