"Churches Should Feed the Poor, The Poor Shouldn't Feed Pastors" -Pastor Reno Omokri

Bemigho Reno Omokri, a former Special Assistant to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has stated that churches should feed the impoverished, rather than the poor feeding their pastors, according to the former Special Assistant.

"The essence of Christianity is not to make money," said the controversial pastor and human rights activist, who had been giving his followers on social media lectures on how to live a financially free life. "The essence of Christianity is not to redeem humanity back to Christ through soul winning," he added.

According to the pastor of Mind of Christ Christian Centre, the reason we follow Christ is for the redemption of our souls, not for the sake of material wealth.

The convener of the Free Leah Sharibu Movement posted the following on his verified Twitter account:

"Churches should provide food for the destitute. Pastors should not be fed by the impoverished. The essence of Christianity is not to make financial gains, but to win people for Christ. It is about salvation, not money, to be a follower of Christ. Who are we to obtain the world if we lose our souls in the process? "What are your thoughts on this?

The notion that churches should be concerned about how their poor members are fed during this vital and tough time has been agitated by many who believe that the opposite is true in the majority of circumstances.
