A Christian without a consistent prayer life is an embarrassment to the kingdom (Archbishop Dunken)

Prayer is every communication with God or any spiritual being. Prayer can be said or prayed. In a normal conversation with people, we call it talking, but the moment that talking is directed to a spiritual being, it is called prayer.

When we read the Bible, especially the epistles of the Apostle Paul. He would say, "pray for me always! the other time besides asking the believers to intercede for him, he said, "pray always in the spirit. The Apostle Paul was always encouraging believers to pray. He said, "Never cease to pray! In whatever they do, he wanted them to pray.

When you read the book of 1st Corinthians 10:31, it says, "brothers and sisters, whether you drink or eat, and whatsoever you do, do it all to the glory of God! We know hear what the Apostle Paul is talking about, he also encourages believers to receive everything with thanksgiving in prayer.

Prayer is not getting a special time to pray only. Prayer can be prayed and the prayer can be said. People don't understand that there is a difference between praying a prayer and saying a prayer. I'm not talking in terms of the Roman Catholic methodology, but I'm talking in terms of you walking in the road, and if you start thanking God. You wolking in the road and feel like praising the Lord. You can pray when you are cooking, you can pray when you're washing, you can pray when you are operating your computer, you can pray when you are at work. You can pray when you are jogging, you can pray when you are at the gym.

It doesn't have to be always you kneeling down and pray. You can still pray doing whatever you are doing, that is why Archbishop Duncan Williams is saying, "consistent" in prayer. Consistent in prayer it means that, you pray every time, you communicate with somebody inside you. Remember God is in heaven, but God is also in you through the holy spirit.

The Bible says your body is the temple of the holy spirit, which means prayer is to talk to the inner man. Prayer is always communicating with the one that resides in you, since you are the indwelling of God's presence. So you don't have to go and fetch him somewhere or to you have that special time, nor wait for the right moment that you can say now I am praying.

When you are in a relationship with a person, you need to always communicate. Communication with that person brings the bond, it is the most important part of the relationship. This is the same thing with God, you always need to talk to the inner person, talk to God. You always need to talk to the spirit of God that is within you. So always pray always communicate with Him, He will guide your path always.

A Christian without a consistent prayer life is an embarrassment to the kingdom.
