The young Nigerian woman known only as "Ezinne Obianuju Nwa Jane" on Facebook has gone viral after boasting about her 21 years of virginity. To quote the post in its entirety:
Being a virgin at the age of 21 has been challenging. Risk of falling prey to temptations and the breakdown of important connections Sometimes I simply want to kick back and relax, but I know that the Lord has commanded me not to engage in fornication.
Two figures, or figures standing, and jewelry, could be depicted.
Those who believe that the topic of virginity should be kept private and is not something to be praised about responded strongly to her message. Others praised her for showing young women everywhere that it is possible to keep their virginity until marriage, as is encouraged by the majority of world religions and cultures. What do you think, is virginity something that should be publicly celebrated?
