IN SHOCK: Is this real? Pastor Taribo West said he saw God one on one

EXTRA: 'I saw God' — Taribo West talks on how he turned into a minister

Taribo West, the previous Super Eagles protector, says he turned into a pastor after his football profession since God appeared to him "one on one".

The previous Inter Milan defense made the revelation in a visit with BBC on Saturday.

West, who established Shelter In The Storm Miracle Ministries of All Nation in 2014, portrayed the said experience with God.

He said: "For what reason would I change from being a footballer to turning into a minister? I saw God one-on-one. That is the place where my progress began; From the field to the lectern.

"We were celebrating. In that, a lady coincidentally found me and said: 'Sir, please may I know your name?' I said: 'I'm Mr No name'. She said: 'May I know where you live?' I said: 'I live no place.' She left with irritation.

"In the sparkle of an eye, I just heard a discernible voice. Also, it came like a slap. It said: 'Switch, turn.' I turned. It said: 'Take a gander at the lady. Search for her now and call that lady and apologize to her. I said that to you.' That must be a voice from God.

"So I exchanged, similar to a Robocop, I begin looking for the lady, and when this sister came right from America, she revealed to me a great deal of predictions. What's more, she advised me in the following a couple of years; I would open a congregation. Every one of the predictions she gave me happened."

West enrolled 42 appearances for the Super Eagles somewhere in the range of 1994 and 2005.
