Preaching the tithe lie doesn't necessitate a 40 minute sermon on tithing. Pastors can, and often do, preach the tithe lie with only one sentence during Offertory..."And now, its time to return the Lord's Tithes and Offerings."
God gave the command to tithe to the twelve tribes of Israel, not to the blood-bought church of God. And the commanded tithe was to be agriculture and agricultural food by-products, not money.
Argument: "Tithing ws in place long before the Law was established. Therefore, tithing remains today."
Rebuttal: The tithe being taught in the Christian church community today isn't Abraham's tithe. Abraham tithed from the spoils of war, not from his employment wages.
Not one Christian pastor tells his congregation to "Go kill some wicked people and bring me a tenth of any goods you may find in their camp."
So using the argument, "Tithes were before the Law," to justify the doctrine that Christians are required to tithe their employment wages/government benefits/household monetary income is not only weak, but it is flat-out deception.
If Christians are required to "bring the tithe into the storehouse," as tithers and tithing teachers claim, why does God tell us that anyone who did would die for doing so?
In the clear context of tithing, God's Word says this...
"And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die."
The saved in Christ are never a reality in the Bible until after Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.
And the ONLY mentions of tithes after the resurrection of Christ are
a) Melchizedek receiving war spoils tithes from Abraham
b) the Levitic Priesthood receiving agricultural tithes from their brethren under the Law.
There is no menion of any saved person tithing in the Bible. There is no mention of God requiring the saved to tithe in the Bible.
The monetary tithe requirement is a fairy tale invented in the dark recesses of a wicked mind.
Most pastors are in it for the money, remove thithe from all the churches in Africa and see all pur pastors disappear.
