Prayer: Lord, exchange my rejection for celebration

"And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jobez, saying because I bare him with sorrow" (1 Chronicles 4:9-10)

Psalms 118-22 is one of the scriptures that was variously referred. All the Gospel writers quoted it as seen in Matt 21:42; Mark 12-10 & Luke 20:17. Peter quoted it twice in Acts 4:11 and 1Peter 2:7. Paul used it in Eph. 2:20. The Scripture applies first to David who experienced several forms of rejection and spite in life, But later, he became the golden and celebrated king of Israel. The second application is to our LORD Jesus Christ who was rejected by His people but has now become the Chief Corner Stone of God's new house, the church and people's lives. (Eph. 2:20). The last application is to you and me in the contemporary time who have at one time or another faced rejection by families, communities, friends, institutions and associations but through God's Intervention have become celebrities today.

Know that if you are rejected in the time of prosperity, like Joseph, you will be sought after and celebrated in the time of famine. If you were rejected in the time of peace, like Jephthah, you will be sought after in the time of war. Those who despised you will look for you when Goliath roars.

You can get a lot of inspiration from the life of Jesus Christ who was once the rejected. Jesus is now the author and Perfecter of our salvation. We celebrate Him as the fighter and winner of all our battles. Don't commit suicide when men despise and reject you today, tomorrow will open a new chapter in your life. They will celebrate you as their illustrious son or daughter and benefactor Your signature shall give them what they want in life. Only Jesus Christ can help you out of the dungeon of rejection and spite. Believe in him, serve him and you will be glorified in Him. Jesus never fails and your situation is not too hard for him to change. He has done it before and He will do it again.

Controlling Thought: No matter the rejection, there is celebration ahead.

Prayer: Lord, exchange my rejection for celebration, Amen.
