God, help us to keep the bond of unity in Christ

One of the early Church's characteristics was the ability to care for one another. They exercised true feelings and sincere affection amongst themselves. They also had a lot of mutual connection and friendly ties, to the point where no one ever left the other behind. Theirs was a Christ-like love. No one was left behind, and everyone received spiritual and temporal blessings in proportion to his urgent necessities.

The early Christians committed themselves to the apostles' teaching and companionship, the breaking of bread, and prayer, according to Scripture. They devoted themselves to worship. We, as modern believers, must learn the act of worship from the early Church. They persisted, each ensuring that his Christian brother or sister is carried along to the point where they sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to one another.

Genuine compassion for one another reflects Christ's character in us. Jesus was always doing good everywhere he went. The early believers imitated and displayed this by not only being together, but also by selling valuable items and giving to those in need. The Church of the twenty-first century appears to be weak or underperforming in this area. The majority of believers today are self-centered, greedy, and primarily concerned with their own well-being. The emphasis of this lesson is on the need of us supporting one another in this celestial race.

We rely on one another for advice, support, and motivation. We shall succeed and be together in God's kingdom if we do an act of worship to God.
