What Jesus said about the Sun, Moon and Black Stars before His reappearance (Mark 13:24)

While the Lord Jesus was with His disciples, especially to complete His earthly ministry, they asked Him to tell them what the signs of His second coming and the end of the world would be. And Jesus, still in the form of the Son of God — that is, God in human form - gave them the necessary answers and answers to their questions, because that was one of the reasons He came to earth. (Matthew 24: 1–4; 29-30; Mark 13).

However, in answering their questions, Jesus mentioned something far more important and important. Although some people consider this report to be authentic, it does not have a literal message. First, the word translated “end of the world” in this verse literally means the end of time or time, not the physical world.

Now, Jesus' answer to their questions was: "Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be revealed; and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the land lament, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. "(Matthew 24: 29-30).

What Jesus was referring to was not the eclipse of the sun and the moon or the falling of stars from outer space to earth. No! For it is clear that the star is bigger than the earth itself, and the Bible never lies. What, then, did Jesus mean?

To understand Jesus' words in this way, one must understand them based on His teachings. He said, "The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life" (John 6:63), meaning that they do not need to be understood literally, lest you miss the point.

So when Jesus said that the sun would be darkened, he meant that the sun, as Psalm 84:11 says about the nature of God, and that God is love, so the love of the Lord and of his neighbor would diminish. He was referring to a type of church or world in the future, when the love of many for the Lord's work and for showing love to their neighbors will be as cold as the sun in winter. Instead of life-saving love and warmth in the kingdom of God, evil will abound, so that many will be lovers of themselves rather than lovers of God. (1 Timothy 3: 1–9).
