Know The Difference Between What You Have And What You Need For God's Assignment

"And he said: "My grace is sufficient for thee; for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, it is with great joy that I shall exalt myself in my weaknesses, so that the might of Christ may rest on me." 2 Corinthians 12:9

Read: 1 Corinthians 15:9-10.

In the face of danger, King Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20:4-13 turned to God after identifying his issue and refusing to walk by sight. Exactly what God had in mind, in fact. "For we do not walk by sight, but by faith," the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:7.

Faith and not sight are required for those who want to serve God in these last days. We have such a limited range of perception when it comes to sight. As long as you have to wait for certain resources to become available, you may never be able to accomplish what God has set out for you to do.

As an example, if the widow at Zarephath had waited until she had enough money before accepting the man of God's invitation, she would have most likely perished of starvation during the famine.

If we were to judge ourselves solely on the basis of our bodily limitations, we would never have seen God accomplish the seemingly impossible. What we have vs what we require for the task is a result of His kindness and generosity. The Lord knows your limitations before He asks you to go on an assignment. In the absence of your presence, He would not have assigned you this task.

If the sense of sight is used, how can one person possibly chase a thousand and two people could possibly chase ten thousand? There's no other explanation except God's grace! In what way can God take up a convicted felon, clean him up, and then invite him to go preach, even among the people he once wronged? Seeing is believing, but thanks be to God for the gift of grace.

How is it possible for God to grant this task to you, despite your lack of educational qualifications, when it should be reserved for professors? It was only possible because of God's grace. So put your trust in God's mercy. The difference can be made by His grace. In other words, don't worry about it. The Lord already has a plan for how He'll handle it. There is more than enough grace in Christ for you.

Prayer point: Father, fill in the gap between what I now have and what I need to complete Your task.
