Does Hell Really Exist? Find Out What The Bible Says About It

“And I say to you, my friends, do not be terrified of those who kill the body and then have nothing else to do. But I will warn you of the one whom you must fear: Fear him who, once he has slain, has the power to cast into hell; yea, I say to you, Fear him.” Luke 16:19-31.

Different people believe in different things when it comes to hell. Some argue that God is too good and merciful to condemn man to hell. Some individuals and religions believe that after a person dies, he travels to the grave and stays there forever. Other faiths believe that hell is a temporary region of pain where God sends wayward children and then brings them out after a period of time, but not forever.

Is hell, on the other hand, a real place? What is the Bible's take on hell? The fact that many individuals hold differing viewpoints on the reality of hell will not alter God's truth concerning damnation. The devil is the one who brings about these many ideas in order for men to be at ease in their sins and not dread eternal damnation of their souls in hell fire and to make amends before it is too late.

The truth is that hell exists because the bible affirms it, as our text and key passage above demonstrate. The rich man and Lazarus tale in Luke 16:19-26 proves that hell exists. According to several texts, hell is located beneath the ground. All people who die as sinners, backsliders, or who reject Jesus Christ, practiced other faiths, or believed in other prophets or messiahs than Jesus Christ are kept in hell fire.

They are presently accommodated in Hell. Sinners and hypocrites who die in churches without repentance are already in hell. They will be tortured in hell fire until the day when they are taken out to be judged by the supreme judge, Jesus Christ Himself.

He will judge them according to their works, and they will be consigned to the lake of fire, the second death, after the judgment. Hellfire will be tossed into the lake of fire, as will Satan and his demons, who will be tormented for all eternity. Now is the time to change your ways before it's too late.
