The Mayor of Ekurhuleni Tania Campbell made an announcement of the much-anticipated committee on Saturday .
The Mayor revealed in a statement that there were consultations that were made before the Mayoral Committee was elected . The consultation involved the parties that helped the DA to get into power .
The aim of the Mayoral Committee is to ensure that the members of the community get what they desire .The majority of the Mayoral Committee is made up mostly of DA members and a number of opposition parties.
The Congress of the People and Inkatha Freedom Party have been included in the Mayoral Committee . ActionSA and Economic Freedom Fighters are not included in the Mayoral Committee.
The portfolios that were not announced in are the Health and Social Development , as well as the Community and Safety one .The Mayor went on and revealed that she was aware of the hard challenges that are ahead .
