A promise to combat corruption has been signed by nearly 10,000 ANC word councillor candidates.

Nearly 10,000 ANC word counsellors hopefuls have signed a pledge to end corruption as part of the party's campaign to do better and be better. The president, Madame Apasa, has promised that corruption will be eradicated. The party has been chastised for its poor service delivery; will this campaign help them reclaim votes?

According to political analyst Tessa Dooms regarding this elections, the ANC is currently running on the front foot in its campaign to win the local structures this coming elections

The council candidates, let's call them that, for the first november elections, and making them take a pledge against corruption and saying we need to do better and be better, but some of the words I read, heard, and saw are that has been saying this for quite some time, I mean do you think the voter will trust that things will be different this time?

I wonder if this will unfold as per expectations
