A decision that was made by the Zimbabwean government regarding its teachers

The government of Zimbabwe is reported to have made an announcement of the decision that was made regarding its teachers.

The decision was regarding the vaccination of the teachers , who are next inline.In accordance to the government of Zimbabwe, teachers ,the tobacco merchants and the hospitality employees are next to be vaccinated against the Covid-19 pandemic.

It is highlighted that the teachers should get vaccinated against the Covid-19 pandemic with immediate effect.

This comes at a time when Zimbabwe has opened the tourism and hospitality sector, which has seen restaurants being allowed a carrying capacity of 50 percent as far as their clients is concerned.

Recently, Zimbabwe received some doses of vaccines from two different companies. There was a delivery of 200 000 vaccine doses from a Chinese company , Sinopharm.

There was another delivery of 200 000 doses of Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine as well.The company is also from the People's Republic of China.

Monica Mutsvangwa, who is the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting is reported to have briefed media following the cabinet meeting where she reportedly touched on when the remainder of the 1.2-million vaccine doses would be expected in the country.

She is reported to have highlighted that the remainder of the 1.2- million doses would be made available by the end of the month of March, or early April.

The Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Mrs Monica Mutsvangwa would go on and highlight what had been decided by the Cabinet regarding how the next phase of rollout would be initiated.

It is then that the Minister highlighted that the teachers would be part of the people that would be given priority by the government. In the vaccination carried out so far in the past three weeks , it is reported that more than 36 000 have since received their Covid-19 shots .

The Minister Mutsvangwa is reported to have highlighted satisfaction with the way the reopening of had been going.

She reportedly highlighted that the Cabinet was pleased with the way things were going, which saw the examination classes being the first to reopen on the 15th of March 2021 as scheduled.

The 15th of March 2021 saw the grade 7 , form 4 and form 6 learners being welcomed back to class.The rest of the learners are are expected to be back on the 22nd of March 2021.

There was emphasis for standard protocols to be adhered to when the rest of the learners return to the classroom on the 22nd of March 2021 to ensure that the schools are safe.
