Lebogang Maile the candidate for the African National Congress(ANC) Provincial Chairperson in the Gauteng province has taken to his official twitter account to congratulate Panyaza Lesufi after his victory on Sunday.
Maile lost the position as he got 543 votes compared to the 575 votes that Lesufi got. Nevertheless this didn't stop Maile in congratulating his opponent on his victory despite the loss.
In his tweet Maile said, "Congratulations to Panyaza Lesufi on your election as the Provincial Chairperson of Gauteng, all the best to you my brother", Maile also went on to give credit to Lesufi saying that he ran a clean campaign befitting of a leader of our movement.
Maile also went on to say that they will support Lesufi and his elected leadership, as they work towards an ANC victory in the 2024 national elections.
Maile the current Member of the Executive Council(MEC) for Human Settlements, Urban Planning and Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs since May 2019. Will most likely work in the cabinet of Lesufi once he assumes office.
