Former DA mayor Herman Mashaba visited some dilapidated buildings in the city of Johannesburg and tweeted about their state and accused Mayor Geoff Makhubo of being useless and stalling the project he started for political reasons
Geoff Makhubo hit back responding to Mashaba's tweets, "Joburg emerged well from a financial ruin by his masters. Hard work tried to reverse apartheid spatial planning by stitching it together but his populist agenda reversed all. He is now shouting from the sidelines, signifying nothing. Lord help him,” said Makhubo.
When Herman Mashaba took over as a DA mayor, he halted Jozi@work workers program and promised to employ them. He ranted, saying they were employed because they were connected to ANC. And Mashaba wasc coersed by EFF to insources security guards and cleaners which ANC caucus in Johannesburg opposed, it cost the city a fortune the city is not capable of insourcing without cutting off service delivery.
When Mashaba became a mayor he stalled Park Tau projects and
Geoff Makhubo stalled Mashaba' inner city property development program, when he became a mayor.
