Lindiwe Sisulu's husband was a foreign national

Lindiwe Sisulu is the daughter of the late struggle stalwart, Walter Sisulu. Her father spent 26 in Robben Island alongside. 1971 Lindiwe completed her form 5 and enrolled for an Advanced Level course at the Waterfield school in Swaziland.Between 1975 to 1976, Sisulu was detained for her ungergound anti -apartheid activities. She left South Africa and went to exile from 1977 to 1979 and she joined the military specialising in Intelligence.

Lindiwe Sisulu met Rok Ajulu in exile and they got married in 1996.

Prof Ajulu was a pan Africanism and he stood African solidarity and Lindiwe said, "our struggle was undeniably enriched by his generosity, selflessness and sacrifice,"

He is from Bondo in Kenya. He says that when he visited his home country, he prefers to stay in Bondo. 

He died on Boxing Day by pancreatic cancer in 2016. He was laid to rest in the shores of Lake Victoria in Kenya."
