As everyone probably knows by now, the local municipal elections are just 6 days away and oh boy! oh boy! politicians have been making promises left, right and center to try and coerce citizens to vote for them on the November the 1st.
Now Julius Malema, being a politician, has also had his fair share of making promises to the people of South Africa during EFF's manifesto launch, whereby he promised that if people vote for the EFF, he'll ensure that he establishes a wealth tax in the municipalities where EFF will govern.
Well sorry to burst your bubble folks but Julius Malema lied to the people because in local municipal ruling, no party can set tax laws on individuals but rather, they can tax the rates ans and increase levys. SEE IMAGE BELOW:
Unfortunately, the likes of Malema have seen a long time ago that many South Africans are ignorant and will never fact check everything they say during their rallies.
