“Elections are over ANC has started again with their Apartheid style. ANC Comrades were selling this stands to ordinary people who are desperate for Land from the amount of R50K to R100K”
This video has left plenty of South Africans heart broken. No one wishes no one to go through this trauma. In this video, excavators have been hired by the municipality to demolish houses that were built on land that was not supposed to be sold. It is either this land was sold illegally and now everything has been reviewed. With the expensive land that most people cannot afford, it is understandable that some are finding alternative ways to buy it cheaper. This will reduce the costs, since they have to buy or build a house.
Unfortunately, people are hooked and do not realize the danger they are putting themselves in. Illegally buying land is a serious crime, and municipalities have all the power to demolish your property, irrespective of what you have built or put in your yard. This incident brings us back to the land issue. People cannot get free land, especially in urban areas, hence this causes a dilemma between financially unstable people and the government.
People suggest that the party's officials used a different method of campaigning. People were sold this land at a very cheap price. This obviously will encourage them to vote for the party that runs the municipality, since it is working at their advantage. After the elections, this is when people see the true colours of these comrades and their missions. This is embarrassing and frustrating at the same time. A lot should be done better, in order to uplift and not take down the citizens of this country. People showed their frustrations and disbeliefs in the comment sections. This is not appreciated at all.
