Zimbabweans Should not Only Come Back Home to Vote but to Stay, SA is Becoming Frustrating - Zim Man

The people of Zimbabwe living in South Africa do not know their fate in South Africa after the expiration of 'grace period' issued to them by the South African Department of Home Affairs.

The document was issued to Zimbabweans to enable them transfer to a suitable Immigration status in the country after Home Affairs Department cancelled the Zimbabwe exemption permit which was given to over 180, 000 Zimbabwean nationals in 2018.

Ever since the permit expired, many Zimbabweans have shown little or no interest in moving back to their home country.

Meanwhile, a Zimbabwean guy known as Tom Nyoni on Twitter has spoken to his countrymen living in South Africa on the need to return back home and register to vote during the forthcoming general election.

Nyoni advised Zimbabweans to remain in Zimbabwe after the voting and establish businesses or start working.

He argued that South Africa is Becoming more hostile and frustrating for Zimbabwean nationals, while urging the government to provide social assistance to those who are willing to return back home and invest.

According to Tom Nyoni's statement on Twitter:

"I don’t think people should come back home only to vote. They must come back to stay, work and do businesses here. SA is becoming very frustrating for Zimbabweans it will be worse. Government should provide social assistance for returnees".
